Purpose: Consumer issues
Aim/Objective/Mission: Consumers’ Action Forum was established in 1973. It was awarded the first National Award for Consumer Protection by the Govt. of India. The aims and objectives of the forum are – i) To create consumer awareness about their rights and responsibilities. ii) To promote consumer education in schools and colleges. iii) To set-up consumer assistance centres at major markets. iv) To promote fair business practice. v) To promote standard and standard markings. To prevent malpractice harmful to the consumer.
